Sept. 23, 1862; taken prisoner battle Brashear City, La., June 23, 1863; paroled June 25, 1863 ; must, out Aug. 28, 1863.  Born September 17, 1842; died at Stoughton, Mass. February 9, 1904. He is buried at the Maplewood Cemetery in North Stoughton.  His gravestone is very faded.  A new gravestone was ordered by the efforts of the 12th Mass. Infantry, and the Stoughton Veteran's Agent in 2006.

Hiram H. White - Priv.- Res. Stoughton ; 20 ; bootmaker ; enl. Sept. 17, 1862 ; must. Sept. 23, 1862; died at Baton Rouge, La., June 30, 1863, of disease.
